We’re publishing a range of brand-new resources to support secondary schools with the new Curriculum for Wales, for first teaching from 2023. With Student Books and digital teacher materials, these resources will support learning for ages 11-14 and will help teachers and students navigate the new curriculum with confidence.

Our new Curriculum resources are underpinned by the four purposes and structured around the progression steps, ensuring that learners make progress throughout the curriculum. Covering the 'what matters' statements in each Area of Learning and Experience, our resources are embedded in the Welsh context to help students develop a sense of cynefin.

What will be available?

We're producing resources to support the following Areas of Learning and Experience for the new curriculum:

  • Maths and Numeracy: Maths
  • Languages, Literacy and Communication: Welsh language
  • Humanities: Geography  •  History  •  Religion, Values and Ethics
  • Science and technology: Science  •  Design and Technology  •  Computing
  • Health and Well-being: Health and Well-being

When will resources be available?
The Welsh language print and digital resources are publishing in Autumn 2021, and our other print and digital resources will be publishing from Spring 2022.
