Why attend?

In any other sector, before being promoted into a leadership role, staff would be required to undertake a development course to ensure the promotion to becoming a leader is successful; however this isn’t always the case in education, until now.

This one-day workshop has been carefully planned to provide the right support to HoDs and those in a management role in order for them to successfully take the step up and become an effective Assistant / Deputy Headteacher.

What's covered?
  • Senior leaders in schools are often just thrown in at the deep end, this day will help build and enhance the key skills required to become highly-effective in the role
  • Explore strategic thinking and effective planning as an Assistant / Deputy Head, plus receive ready-to-use skills and tips to be used back in the school immediately
  • Focus on ways to manage staff and have the difficult conversations with confidence
  • Explore what it really means to deputise and how to get the job in the first place
Attend this course and receive a £25 voucher to spend on Hodder Education books
