Hodder Education win Education Publisher of the Year second year running
By Hodder Education

"I could not be more pleased that the Hodder Education Group has won Education Publisher of the Year award for the second year in a row.  2015 was a wonderful year for us, and it felt like every team and every part of the division contributed to our success.  We acquired Rising Stars at the beginning of the year, and our new primary business thrived as part of a bigger team, with assessment sales leading the way.  International sales also boomed, as our partnerships with CIE and the IB Organisation flourished, and our new business in the Caribbean also began to put down firm roots.  And in secondary, we grew our share of the A level market in a year of curriculum change, with success in every subject we published for.  Our investment in our online platform Dynamic Learning continued to pay off, as we took market share in digital sales too.  Most of all, we worked hard to stay close to the market, to listen to teachers and provide them with a service that helped deliver results in classrooms across the UK and beyond.  I am so proud of every member of the team for the contribution they made to Hodder Education last year."
Lis Tribe, Managing Director, Hodder Education Group

Hodder Education experienced its second victory in consecutive years, winning the accolade of Academic, Educational and Publisher of the Year, sponsored by the London Book Fair. It was lauded for record double-digit sales amid challenging market conditions, its substantial increase in output and surging export sales. The Bookseller’s judges admired Hodder’s “strong links” with schools and a new loyalty scheme that had managed to sign up thousands of teachers. Heavy investment in training and bonuses for staff also added to Hodder’s “dynamic year”. The judges said: “It’s getting stronger and stronger in just about every field – and it’s obviously a great place to work as well."
