About Angus Maciver
The author who began the First Aid series
Angus Maciver began teaching in Glasgow in 1925 and established himself as a successful and progressive teacher who was well-known in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

The Educational Institute of Scotland conferred their degree of Fellowship upon him in 1956.
Since 1938
The First Aid series began with the publication of First Aid in English in 1938. The series has been updated over the years, but has always retained the central qualities from Angus Maciver's classroom experience.

It is these qualities which have ensured the First Aid series continues to support so many students around the world.
