  • The links between Skill, Practice and other parts of the specification
  • Exam technique analysed with AO1, AO2 and AO3 reference
11.00am Morning break
11.15am Specialist training methods – what makes effective AO3 – Jackie
  • The different specialist methods – what are they developing?
  • Model AO3 answer
  • Why is this a good response and how can it support us to tackle AO3 only short answer questions
11.45am Biomechanics – Mike
  • Vectors and scalars - what you need to know
  • Calculations in mechanics
  • Angular motion - time for an extended question?
12.15pm Lunch (not provided)
12.45pm Q&A Panel – Jackie, Mike & Carl
  • Opportunity for students to have their questions answered by experts
  • Questions should be submitted to events@hoddereducation.co.uk prior to the conference
1.15pm Afternoon break
1.30pm Sports Psychology. Anxiety - Carl
  • The types and Anxiety and anxiety control measures with reference to extended questions, a one two three approach!
  • The synoptic link between anxiety and sports confidence will be examined
2.00pm Energy Systems 15-markers – Jackie
  • Use of IDEAL paragraphs to access all AO’s
  • % contribution for energy systems – The importance of specific AO2
