  • Challenges with the theory and/or exam
  • Motivate, engage and inspire to maximise success, regardless of ability
11.15am Morning coffee
11.30am Preparation for the exam
  • The command words and the benefits of linking to AOs
  • Lower ability – short answer questions for AO1/AO2 and support for AO3 response
  • Higher ability – short answer questions, securing AO2 and tips for a good AO3 response
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm Maximise attainment with extended questions
  • Key messages for 6- and 9-markers
  • Lower ability – how to boost success in a 6- and 9-mark levelled response
  • Higher ability – securing AO3 in the 6-markers, planning for a synoptic approach to a 9-marker and developing higher responses
2.30pm Afternoon tea
2.45pm The NEA part 3 – the coursework
  • How to use the best fit marking grid to suit ability range
  • Lower ability – what makes a good L3 piece of coursework
  • Higher ability – how to achieve L5
3.45pm Review and reflect
