Why attend?

Kick start the second year of the new AQA Geography specification by focusing on the GCE assessment and gaining a clearer understanding of the new areas of content of Global Systems and Global Governance. Led by leading expert, David Redfern, this full-day course will also provide you with techniques to help you prepare your students for the questions at A-level at the end of the second year of the course.
  • Review the course so far with regard to the Core areas of the Water and Carbon Cycles, Landscape Systems and Changing Places (some of these topics may be taught for the first time in Year 2)
  • Consider the teaching of the optional areas of study with emphasis on Hazards, Contemporary Urban Environments and Population and the Environment
  • Explore the meaning of the new ‘connections and links’ within questions (formerly known as synopticity) and how A-level papers will assess them
  • Delve into the new topic of Global Systems and Global Governance
