Summary:
Student Unit Guides are perfect for revision. Each guide is written by an examiner and explains the unit requirements, summarises the relevant unit content and includes a series of specimen questions and answers.
There are three sections to each guide:
Introduction - includes advice on how to use the guide, an explanation of the skills being tested by the assessment objectives, an outline of the unit or module and, depending on the unit, suggestions for how to revise effectively and prepare for the examination questions.
Content Guidance - provides an examiner's overview of the module's key terms and concepts and identifies opportunities to exhibit the skills required by the unit. It is designed to help students to structure their revision and make them aware of the concepts they need to understand the exam and how they might analyse and evaluate topics.
Question and Answers - sample questions and with graded answers which have been carefully written to reflect the style of the unit. All responses are accompanied by commentaries which highlight their respective strengths and weaknesses, giving students an insight into the mind of the examiner.
- Fully endorsed by CCEA
A revision guide specifically written to meet the requirements of the unit
Written by an experienced author with commentary on key points and concepts

Im currently doing this module in A2 History and will sit my exam in May. Im so glad this came out before then, its simple and easy to read. All the topics are set out in a straight forward manner and the content is clearly defined to its relavent topic which makes reading any additional content I recieve in class easier as I now know what else to learn with it. The greatest pain in this module is the need for historiography, this book has quotes from celebrated historians in every other line, this means that any reader will never be short of a quote to reinforce their viewpiont especially since often two arguments set by two historians is presented. The historians include Bew, Laffan and Jalland etc they are authors on the NICCEA specifacations recomended reading list. I now trust the publisher of this Revision Guide series, as I have also supplemented my Alevel biology knowledge with their NICCEA AS and A2 Biology guides, which are fantastic also. Unfortunately I havent been able to find a guide for my NICCEA A2 Unit 1 exam also set for this May; Clash of Ideologies.
