Summary:

The OCR Chemistry for AS Dynamic Learning Network CD-ROM provides additional resources to support the Student’s Book. Powered by Dynamic Learning, the CD-ROM provides the same interactive pages as the Student’s Book CD-ROM, with further resources for teaching and practical work.

The Network CD-ROM provides the following features:

· Synopsis for each topic, showing how the text and resources cover and follow the OCR specification including coverage of How Science Works

· Introductory PowerPoint for each topic
· Practical, investigation and observation worksheets
· Teacher’s and technician’s notes for all practicals and investigations

· Multimedia animations or visualisations

· Video interviews with chemists, focusing on how they use chemistry in their work

· Additional activities covering How Science Works

· Answers to all activities, review and extension questions from the Student’s Book, plus answers to practical worksheets and additional activities

· Interactive progress tests
· Personal Tutor presentations guiding students through sample exam questions with tips

All the resources are launched from interactive pages of the Student's Book. Teachers can also search for resources by resource type or keyword to allow greater flexibility in using the resources. A Lesson Builder allows teachers and lecturers to build lessons by dragging and dropping resources they want to use into a lesson group that can be saved to launch later from a single screen. The tools provided also enable teachers to import their own resources and weblinks into the lesson groups, and to populate a VLE at the click of a button.

  • Experienced author team of Hill and Hunt

  • Practicals, analysis questions and extension questions linked to each section save teachers preparation time

  • Has a lesson builder which allows teachers and lecturers to create lessons from the resources provided and to add links to their own resources and weblinks

  • All resources are tagged and can be imported into the school or college's own VLE
