Summary:
Geography Pathways is an innovative Key Stage 3 course written for the new CCEA Northern Ireland curriculum. The series aims to provide comprehensive coverage of the Geography requirement of the Environment and Society criteria of the curriculum. A key feature of the course will be the emphasis on the role of skills acquisition and the interconnection of skills across the curriculum as defined by CCEA.

Course features include:
· Themed chapters to cover the key elements of the new curriculum.

· Clear learning intentions for each chapter to enable a pupil-centred learning experience.

· Get Active tasks to promote understanding through thinking and learning strategies using the five thinking skills and personal capabilities: managing information, decision-making, demonstrating creativity, team work and self-management.

The Teacher's Resource CD-ROM contains PDFs and editable Word documents providing guidance on how the course, skills and components connect together. It also provides worksheets, artworks and templates, a sample scheme of work and advice on how to get the best out of the Get Active tasks.
