About the Author(s):
Paul Buka, RN, HNC, FETC, LLB(Hons), PGCE, MSc, MIHM is Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Thames Valley University, London, UK. He has a background in law, having specialized in healthcare law and in criminal justice. He has also taught law and law & ethics at various levels for several years. He has previously published in the area of law and ethics.

Kathleen Chambers RN, RM, RMN, Cert Ed, BSc, MA is a retired Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Thames Valley University, London, UK. Her specialist clinical interests are neonatal nursing and child law. She gained an MA in Child Care Law and Practice from the University of Keele. She has considerable experience of teaching Child Law and Child protection within pre and post-registration nurse education. Sue Watkinson BA, RN, OND (Hons), PGCEA, MSc, PhD is Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Thames Valley University, London, UK.
