About the Author(s):
Dr Michael Snaith is a Consultant Rheumatologist for Amber Valley Primary Care Trust, Heanor & Ripley Hospitals, and Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. He is an expert on gout and related disorders, and has held visiting fellowships in universities across the world, in addition to his clinical career. He is a board member of several Professional societies, and was until 2002 Associate Editor of the British Journal of Rheumatology.
