Summary:
The Hodder Reading Project Level 2-3 identifies blocks to progression and takes pupils from National Curriculum Level 2 to Level 3. It comprises the Teacher's Resource, Pupil's Book and 12 Readers.



Reader 9, The Black Death by Sarah Blackmore: Six hundred and fifty years ago a deadly plague struck the world. It was a terrible disease that spread so quickly it could not be cured. Everywhere you went you would hear the cry of: 'Bring out your dead!' This was the Black Death.

• Explicit teaching of reading skills that accelerates learning and boosts attainment in reading from Level 2 to Level 3.
