Science Pathways Y8

Summary:
Science Framework Year 8 has been written specifically for the new Northern Ireland Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and local examples have been used throughout. This book highlights, within a science context, the importance of developing pupils as individuals, as contributors to society and as contributors to the economy and environment. The clear text and helpful illustrations make the science easy to understand and show how it is relevant in everyday life. The following thinking skills and personal capabilities are identified:

The 14 chapters cover all the scientific knowledge and understanding for Y8 as well as highlighting topics such as science in the media and careers in science. Pupils are encouraged to develop their skills in areas such as organising a debate, comparing and contrasting ideas, finding out about science from books and the internet, and carrying out investigations and writing reports.
