Search Tips
Here are a few tips to help you get better results when searching:
- Try to minimise the number of fields to search on, and enter one or two key search terms, in the order they are likely to appear, in any of the fields.
You can then refine your search criteria when you have an idea of the titles being returned. For example, if searching for "Bailey & Love's Short Practice of Surgery,
24th edition", enter "Bailey Love Short Practice Surgery" in the Title field.
- If searching for a specific ISBN, only enter the ISBN, not the Title and Author as well.
- If searching for an author, please enter in the format "Firstname Surname". Entering "Surname, Firstname" will not bring back any results.
- If searching on Keywords, try searching for a short group of keywords, such as "clinical medicine", rather than a long sentence such as "clinical medicine in the 20th century".
