Student Unit Guides
Geography Student Unit GuidesFrom Philip Allan Updates

With these invaluable guides, students can:

  • clearly understand what is required of them in the examination
  • practise and improve their exam technique with
    examination-style questions

Student Unit Guides are perfect for revision, written by examiners they explain the unit requirements, summarise the content and include specimen questions and answers

Each guide contains:

  • An introduction, outlining the aims of the AS or A2 qualification and the skills required, and offering strategies for revision.
  • Content guidance, providing an examiner’s overview
of the module’s key terms and concepts, and identifying opportunities to exhibit the skills required by the unit. This section shows students what they have to learn and how
they might analyse and evaluate topics.
  • Questions and answers, with graded answers to questions which have been carefully written to reflect the style of the unit. All responses are accompanied by commentaries which highlight their respective strengths and weaknesses, giving students an insight into the mind of the examiner.
