Friday Afternoon Resource Packs

Friday afternoon resource packs
Fully photocopiable resources to liven up revision sessions.

The Friday Afternoon Resource Pack series provides a range of fun and engaging activities, creating situations in which students can enjoy lessons and use a variety of learning styles to revise core topics.

The activities featured in this pack have been chosen to allow students to apply their knowledge to key subject areas in varying contexts, and to review and reinforce their understanding of key terms and concepts. The activities include dominoes, triominoes, bingo, crosswords, play your cards right, matching and missing words. The pack is fully photocopiable and is provided in both ring binder and CD formats. All necessary definitions and answers to questions posed in the activities are included.

The pack allows students to work in small groups, whole groups and individually. Varying the activities, or adapting them to particular circumstances will help students to apply and develop different learning styles. In addition, the activities give students the opportunity to test their level of understanding of key terms and concepts, highlighting areas of weakness and allowing for reflection and discussion of topics studied in class.

Suggested timings and placement within the lesson is given for each activity, but only as a guideline to be adapted to the needs of each lesson, group and individual.
