'We’ve been getting on with the booklet and have almost finished the fractions chapter. The class have settled into it really well and today I was pleased to see that they went straight into drawing diagrams of pizzas and were thinking about how many slices to cut it into. I had loads of students suddenly getting it and then being able to do the first adding and subtraction questions. There has been a fair bit of progress with most students, which is great, especially as they all got zero it the fractions test we did at the start. I just hope it sticks!'
