OCR Computing GCSE

Sean O’Byrne and George Rouse

During his speech at BETT 2012, Michael Gove urged ICT teachers to place greater emphasis on programming and computing, and made special mention of OCR’s “pioneering work” in this field.

As the only fully accredited GCSE in the subject, this course fits perfectly in with the Secretary of State’s plans.
  • The course combines practical units that demand students provide evidence of planning, programming, review of solutions created and final analysis of the projects with theory / practical skills that are examined
  • Teachers and students are provided with flexibility in choosing the programming languages that suit their needs and the demands of the solutions that they create
