About the authors: Marilyn Breeze is Public Services lecturer and course coordinator at the University of Derby and an experienced writer and verifier of the new BTEC specifications. Prior to teaching, she had a long career in the public service sector, including the Police, education and Social Services. Margaret Cronin is a director of a training company. She is an experienced external verifier and has been involved in the writing of the new BTEC specifications. Alan Spafford, B.A. (Hons) Ed. Cert.Ed is an experienced external verifier and writer of the new BTEC specifications for public services. He is presently part time lecturer at South Nottingham College.
