Art & Design
Hodder Education will be publishing new resources for students and teachers for this revised qualification by an OCR-specific team of experienced authors and examiners, to ensure best fit and guidance for teachers and students.
Business Studies
Hodder Education will be publishing a brand new edition of the popular OCR Business Studies for GCSE by Peter Kennerdell, Alan Williams and Mike Schofield with added Dynamic Learning support materials. OCR Business and Communications and the OCR Applied Business Studies will also receive full textbook and digital support.
Citizenship
Hodder Education is working with the Citizenship Foundation and OCR to create a new edition of Citizenship Studies for OCR GCSE Short Course student books. The student’s books will be supported by brand new Teacher Resources reflecting best practice advice in GCSE Citizenship teaching, together with practical and detailed information on running a course for OCR GCSE Citizenship Studies. The Teacher Resource will also feature guidance on the new OCR Full Course.
Drama
Hodder Education will be publishing a brand new Student's Book with a teacher support website for the new GCSE specification from OCR. These new resources will provide students with full support in the preparation of pieces of controlled assessment for their commentaries/portfolios as well as plenty of exemplar examination material. Student's Book publication date: May 2009. Teacher support website publication date: June 2009.
Design and Technology - including Product Design
Hodder Education will be publishing separate student and teacher resources for each of the six Design and Technology strands – Graphic Communication, Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Textiles Technology, Electronic Systems & Control, and Industrial Technology – as well as for the exciting new GCSE in Product Design. All material is being written by senior examiners and experienced teachers within each strand, ensuring the very highest levels of support for the new specifications.
Health and Social Care
Hodder Education will be publishing an all-new edition of the text by Hilary Thompson and Sylvia Aslangul which is being developed specifically for OCR centres with an additional OCR author team.
Home Economics: Food and Nutrition; Child Development
Hodder Education will be publishing all-new books for these Specifications, plus full support for OCR centres wishing to use the new, sixth edition of the best-selling Child Care and Development by Pamela Minett.
ICT
Hodder Education will be publishing brand new print and electronic resources to support the revised OCR GCSE Specifications A and B, and the Applied ICT Double Award. The impact of Functional ICT on the specifications will be monitored and catered for. Hodder are already working with OCR to plan and create resources to support OCR’s Functional ICT pilot specification.
Law
This exciting new qualification will receive full support from Hodder Education with a supporting textbook written by a well-known author and examiner.
Leisure & Tourism
Hodder Education will be publishing brand new electronic resources to support the new OCR GCSE Leisure and Tourism qualification – both the two-unit single award and the four-unit double award. As well as providing you with guidance on approaches to controlled assessment, these resources will give your students plenty of practice for the examinable units.
Physical Education
Hodder Education will be publishing brand new resources authored by the team developing OCR’s new qualification. OCR PE for GCSE Student Book (John Honeybourne) and OCR PE for GCSE Dynamic Learning Network Edition CD-ROM (John Harrod) will offer complete and practical support for all your teaching and learning needs.
Media Studies
Hodder Education will be publishing a brand new Student's Book with a Dynamic Learning Network Edition for the new unitised Media Studies specification from OCR. Dynamic Learning is the perfect vehicle to help students access the variety of media they are required to study this specification, while also providing full support in the preparation of pieces of controlled assessment for their portfolios as well as plenty of exemplar examination material. Student's Book publication date: April 2009. Dynamic Learning Network Edition publication date: June 2009.
